-- Spent the afternoon with Katie. Went swimming, exploring in the woods, watched one of the "Wallace & Gromit" films, ate blueberry scones that my aunt made (they are delicious), and played a computer game.
-- Had a great mail day. I found three treasures amongst the catalogs and junk mail: letters from Sarah, Nicole, and Jaime. Thanks, girls. I love you all and you get special ::hugs:: today. :-D
-- I love wearing my hair in two braids. Will I never grow up?
-- Finished reading The Wolves of Willoughby Chase by Joan Aiken this morning. It's a cute book, very quirky, and I like it better than I thought I would. Wouldn't read it to very young and/or sensitive children (the villians are scary yet laughable), but for the most part it's fun. After that, I started R.L. Stevenson's Kidnapped. Time for a classic.
-- Last night I got fed up with my lack of writing output and vowed to write for one hour every day through the summer, even if I stare at a blank page for most of the time and only eke out a few sentences. I was thrilled to get several pages done on a story last night, but will this last? We shall see. (And more imporantly, will my vow last? I am notorious for breaking promises to myself, which is a failing indeed, but I cannot laugh at it. Oh dear. That was a badly done quote.)
-- Another news flash from today's mail: a flyer declaring "The Big Semi-Annual Sale" at Bath & Body Works. It doesn't begin until June 7 but I am definitely interested. I love their products but they are so expensive. The prices advertised here look much nicer, so I shall try to make it for this event.
