...You never know what will transpire.
I just had the most amusing phone call. Picked it up and said hello, and a female voice launched into a monologue about some sort of quality food service survey. I swear, it sounded so much like a recording (we get those a lot) that when she finished her spiel, I just sat there waiting to be told to "press 1 for yes or 2 for no." Instead, I got silence.
"Ma'am?"
"Uh, yes?" I responded, almost cracking up to realize that this was indeed a real person. She proceeded to ask me two very long-winded and generic questions about my fast food eating habits. I was still shocked that she was real, and my absence of mind showed when she thanked me for my participation at the close of the conversation. I thanked her in return. This only increased my mirth once I hung up.
I still say that woman's voice sounds more like a recording than anyone else's I've ever heard in my entire life. LOL!
Now back to anthropology homework...
