my verses for the moment
Mar. 15th, 2006 12:01 pmSome scriptures God has given me to ponder and stand on over the past few weeks and months of searching for the "next step" in my life:
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding; think about Him in all your ways, and He will guide you on the right paths (Prov. 3:5-6). Old familiar words, yet God is making them more true in my life than ever...
My steps are on Your paths; my feet have not slipped. I call on You, God, because You will answer me; listen closely to me; hear what I say. Display the wonders of Your faithful love, Savior of all who seek refuge from those who rebel against Your right hand....But I will see Your face in righteousness;
when I awake, I will be satisfied with Your presence (Psalm 17:5-7, 15).
I know your works. Because you have limited strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name, look, I have placed before you an open door that no one is able to close....Listen! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and have dinner with him, and he with Me (Rev. 3:8 and 20).
